Sandpipers PreK and Kindergarten Programs
4 and 5-year-olds
Sandpiper School is the first school in Grenada to use a blended curriculum for its Pre K and Kindergarten Program. The program will focus on individual child development and social-emotional development. The curriculum will include key Montessori materials and interactive learning centers that meet with progressive traditional standards outlined in the NYC DOE Exploration Program.
EXPLORE NYC DOE Sandpipers has retained the right to use the New York State (NYC DOE) "Pre-K for all; Explore Program". This program provides an outline for our ten themed units each month.
Reading and Writing
Jolly Phonics – Jolly Phonics, teaches children to read and write using synthetic phonics, which is widely recognized as the most effective way to teach children to read and write in English.

Building Blocks - For math success, we will be using a program that is created and scientifically researched by Harvard graduates called "Building Blocks".
Geography and Culture
The overall program is a holistic approach and is respectful for children to grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively in a supportive, nurturing, and consistent environment.

The Grenada Ministry of Education school calendar for national holidays and closures will be followed. Upon enrolment, you will receive our yearly calendars.
The Pre K and Kindergarten program starts at 9:00 AM and finishes at 3:00 PM. Extended care is available daily for an additional fee.
Children are eligible for our Pre Kindergarten program in September of the year that they turn 4 years old.
Children are eligible for our Kindergarten program in September of the year that they turn 5 years old.
St. George’s International School has a long-term objective that provides for growth and development to include grades 1 through 6. We will keep you posted on our progress with this expansion.
